Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors assist with the development of Permanent Modified Positions for injured employees.
Our services include providing expert guidance and facilitating communication with all necessary parties to ensure that any modified position complies with legal and medical requirements while being physically suitable for the employee’s current condition.
To maintain ongoing suitability, we recommend that temporary modified or transitional duty positions be reviewed every 30 days or upon receipt of updated medical reports. It is the employer’s responsibility to adhere to the limitations set forth by the treating physician and ensure that the job requirements do not exceed the employee’s permanent physical restrictions.
Before extending a formal offer of employment/PERMANENT MODIFIED DUTY, we will forward a copy of the offer to the treating physician for their review and approval. This step ensures that the proposed position aligns with the permanent limitations outlined for the employee, safeguarding both their well-being and compliance with relevant regulations.
A Permanent Offer of Employment MUST be in writing.
